Kaye and Geoff's web page documentation
An example of a clickable mapTo generally avoid loading pages in place of this one, an in-line frame has been used to hold the family information which is displayed in response to clicking on a person in the picture. The exception, just to show how and that it works, is the default clickable link providing picnic ground information, which uses the "target" attribute to show the page in a new window. The regular links under the clickable map all load pages which replace this one - we do this because if the clickable map is not supported (the browser might be a very, very old version) then maybe in-line frames are not supported either. The result is not pretty but at least the information can be reliably displayed. If you want to see the HTML for this example then use the "view source" option from your browser's "file" menu.
